The
name Shaul Schwarz may
not be a household name
yet, but remember it,
because in a few years
you'll be seeing his
pictures everywhere. His
main work to date has
been serious
photo journalism,
documenting events and
social situations around
the globe. Recently he
turned his hand to what
some might say is a more
frivalous pursuit,
snapping lookalikes. It's
actually a whole
multimedia project, book,
website, images,
etc...
I was
privileged to be asked by
him to be a part of
it in the Ali G guise I
have been so popularly
impersonating for many
years now.
Borat
was
considered but he really
liked Ali G and thought
him more appropriate for
the project. So a few
weeks ago this was what I
got up to, some of the
snap are with a
wonderful Queen
Impersonator and
lookalike
Patricia Ford
who
has appeared in many
shows, films, papers,
magazines, videos and
press
articles.
The images
Shaul takes have featured
in Marie Clare magazine
in different global
markets, are set to
appear in a major U.S.
publication and have been
aquired by Getty Images
for use in a book. So
look out of pics of Ali G
For Real, you never know
where they'll pop
up!
